I have seen kids do a balloon release at a Birthday party and it was enormous fun! Each child is allocated to a numbered ticket (names and numbers are recorded for use when balloons are returned). Balloons are handed out to the children who release them all together. Tickets have a return address on them and a prize is given to the child whose balloon goes the furthest. Tickets have a personalized message on them something like..
